You will no longer stand in lines with this app. I live in LA and getting around town with traffic can be brutal. If you get to a place with a long line it just may kill the rest of your night. Thank you!!!

I never write reviews for apps, but this one was so great that I had to!! Its probably one of my most used apps. The short clips are so fun and I love that I can check out where I want to go before going. Definitely download!!!

This App is so cool. It lets you know where to go and where the best people are. Its fun to watch celebrities using the video booth on it. Definitely a genius idea for a fun night out!

This app is a must have for everyone that enjoys nightlife.

After tuning in to ABCs Startup U, I thought Id check out this app. Seemed like a really cool idea... But...after downloading it, I quickly discovered that the app merely consists of low res images/gifs depicting peoples vanity via silly duck faces and other pointless, coy bodily movements. I guess it promotes the clubs & restaurants. Any PR is good PR, right?

Crashes upon opening. Old version used to work but the UI was terrible

constantly crashes right after you sign in! you cant even open the app.

This is just another knock off trying to be the next Facebook or snapchat, both of which are supplying live feeds of trending areas around you.

Didnt honor their agreement. Very disappointed.

What’s special about this anyway?? After I installed my phone had to get reset. Not impressed.

Vanity of vanities... Hotpoint is a fine example of an app when its the opposite of Facebook, Snapchat or Instagram. This regrettable nugget makes no sense outside the mind of its creators. Some apps serve to fill a need in the marketplace, others improve on existing platforms. This app actually does the opposite by transporting you back to 2002 with.... wait for it, low-res animated gifs. I can actually feel myself getting dumber using it. "Thousands of users" is an over generous claim. What I have seen are the same "insta-gifs" featuring the same tired group of friends from Hollywood who are on the Hotspot payroll trying to prop up this app as something cool and exclusive. Staged event locales of no interest are hardly noteworthy compounded by self indulgent, socialite wannabes making the ever classy duck lips equals an awkward app that struggles for relevance. I would recommend downloading AOLs instant Messenger from a floppy disc before recommending this regrettable little app to you.

Keeps crashing. Sometimes the buttons wont work.

Hotpoint is plagued with a myriad of issues making it completely non-functional. If you do not give it location access the app crashes when you try to open the maps section. No matter what you do you cannot save a video out of the app (it crashes when you try). Even when you try to share the video, the link is broken and cannot find the content. Literally the only way for you to view your videos is in the app and the best sharing youre going to get is physically sending your phone to the people youd like to share with. Absolutely inconsiderate, untested app design that shows a true lack of passion.
